Shaving requests

We have had many requests about shavings for the races.

All shavings are being handled by Travis Godon who can be contacted at 775 296-2661.

He will provide shavings & other services.  All payments must be made to him directly as he is independent of White Pine Horse Races. 

No money can be accepted by White Pine Horse Races for his services.

Watch for our article in “The Racing Journal”, which should hit mailboxes during the first week of August.

Also look for “The Racing Journal” table at the races.

August 18th Race Information

The time of the draw for the horses will be on August 18th for the following days:

• Saturday races from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM,

• Sunday races from !:00 PM – 4:00 pm.

State gaming officials will be on hand from August 18th till the end of the meet to address any concerns & renew or apply for State of Nevada licensing. See State Gaming link on this web page for schedule of fees.

Reminder: Stall fees & John Deer Bonus Challenge

Stall fees are due August 10, we have received 211 phone & mail requests with only 37 payments.

We have 144-37 = 107 stalls available.  After 8/10/09 it is “1st come, 1st served”

John Deere Bonus Challenge Races nomination fees must be postmarked 8/1/09 or earlier, entry fees due 8/21/09.

Stall Reservations – Deposits Required

Stall deposits of 50% or $5 per horse per stall are required with reservations.

We have received a number of reservations without the 50% fee.

We have received 131 requests for stalls of which only 25 have sent fees.

We have 144 stalls available on a “First come, first served basis”.

Paid fees will secure stalls, others are at risk if they have not paid.

AQHA Challenge Races Deadlines: Important Info

The deadline for the John Deere Bonus Challenge races is August 1 for nomination fees, August 21 for entry fees, limited to 8 horses, entries & post positions drawn by random lot.

• Race 9 Saturday, August 22;  nomination fee $50, entry fee $200  Challenge enrolled, 3 yr or older, non-winners of 2 in 2009 as of entry date

• Race 7 Sunday, August 23; nomination fee $150, entry fee $200. Challenge enrolled, 3 yr or older, open race with high weights preferred
